It may not be because of space in /tmp file system. Even if you run out of space in Dbspaces it gives the same error. One of their queries might be creating a temporary table internally, i.e. like if you open a scroll cursor informix tries to create a tempoarary table. The error should be because of that most probably. Check the query which is giving this error and try to fix the query. I had a simillar problem when my program was creating a scroll cursor for a complicated select stmt. Monitor the dbspaces by running tbstat command.
