Using dbexport as backups?

Hi Netters, Have anyone done or are doing backup of their databases using dbexport rather than tbtape or archive I am asking this is because we have quite a number of databases which are access by a team of programmers.We have cases where a couple of our databases wercorrupted by the programmers. So we want to be able to drop the corrupted databases and then dbimport the databases Have anybody written a script or cron job that do dbexport of database automatI will summarize any replies in the group.
