migration

We migrated from an old server to a Sun 6800 with SE6320 SAN. It has not been a good experience. We loaded it up from flatfile and everything seemed fine when we tested. Apparently my stress testing was inadequate for it simply will not support heavy usage. Informix says the database software is waiting on the Kernel for KAIO. Sun does recognize that a problem exists, but can't decide if its hardware or software. They have been working on it taking several diagnostics and sending out the hardware Service Engineer several times. In the meantime we have been running on a severly crippled system for nearly two months now. I am prepared to ask my manager to bring in a consultant as soon as Sun says the hardware is ok. Can anyone suggest one who might be interested in a short assignment here in Ohio? sending to informix-list
