Announce: 4glworks site revamp
Posted in 1999
Just to let you all know that after nearly a year of inactivity, I have started working on my tools again, and I have uploaded new material on my web site (see below). Sadly, most of the documentation pages are still the way they were... WIP. <BRAG> New: - 4gwMenus An isql menus replacement tool which benefits from the new formatting, scripting and expansion features of the sql interpreter shipped with 4glworks (see for yourself at http://www.ctonline.it/~marcog/4wrintro.htm#FGWSTATS ) Also comes with a comman line runner with html formatting capabilities. - Textman A neat tool to manipulate text blobs located in memory: now you can add, change, delete and retrieve lines or substrings as you please. Have a look at http://www.ctonline.it/~marcog/4wrcascc.htm Improved: - 4glWorks (my fab 4gl application framework) now boost an extended sql interpreter, which given a script and a text variable stores in the latter the output resulting from running the former, with or without html formatting (basic, but effective) Also features text variable manipulation functions (where did you think textman came from?), hashes (in the perl, or awk array sense), new/improved building scripts, and has had many limitations removed (like pick lists no longer use arrays) - 4gwMail (a 4gl based mail/news agent) now autoconfigures during installation (autoconf based), and has file read/write capabilities in the message composer - fglio (an input/output package for 4gl) this now comes with a configure script, courtesy of autoconf (docs in http://www.ctonline.it/~marcog/4wrcfioc.htm ) - Minor changes in other tools fglpp & fglcgi Hope that this has raised some interest. </BRAG> -- Ciao, Marco ______________________________________________________________________________ Marco Greco <marco@informix.com> Standard disclaimers apply!
