Hi I'm new to informix, I want to connect from OAT on windows to my informix server on linux(remotely), How should I define the tcp port for this connection? thanks homayoon
You must see what´s the database port on your linux machine, look at the (default $INFORMIXDIR/etc/sqlhosts) file, and then grab the port number and put it on your OAT connection page, that should work fine, no need to change anything on your windows conf, ok? Hi, As far as I know you need Informix-CLI installed on your pc. Port number comes from you sqlhost(on linux box).
