Informix 11.50 FC9 and 11.50 FC7 in the same serve

Hi everybody I have a 11.50 FC7 instance running in a server, and I have to install an other 11.50 FC9 in this same machine. I used to dba informmix several years before, so I´m a little cold. ¿ where can I download Informix 11.50 FC9 for solaris. I have a valid user and account for this products on IBM, but I can´t locate the site for download it. ¿ I only nedd to set the informix variabls in order to do the installation ? Thanks

Can't help you about finding the specific release. All you need to install the additional release is to set INFORMIXDIR to the directory into which you want it installed (preferably to a different path than the existing .FC7 release) and run the installer as root. Hi Hugo. To have several IDS versions on the same host I have many directories under /opt/IBM as versions I'll have. In your case: /opt/IBM/IDS-1150_FC7 /opt/IBM/IDS-1150_FC9 Installing each product in his own directory as root user. Last step would be modify .bash_profile/.profile for user informix, making a small menu to load the environment variables, mandatory INFORMIXDIR, recommendable INFORMIXSERVER and ONCONFIG. Others maybe can be shared. Greetings.
