Remote Access of tables

Can someone tell me how INFORMIX handles it? I'm assuming there is a utility for such kind of purpose. What is it called? Please enlighten me as if I know nothing about INFORMIX, which is true. Thanks in advance.. Best Regards, Pei-yu Huang
