I am using IBM Informix Dynamic Server Version 11.70.TC4IE on Windows Server 2008. The ph_task table has âautoreg migrateâ running every day. I have not been able to find any information on what it does. Does it need to be running daily?
Hi, It has something to do with the automatic registration of database extensions or datablades. From the Administrator's Guide under Scheduler Built-in Tasks and Sensors, it is described as follows --- This task checks every database with a logging option of log or buffered log, and, if necessary, migrates all built-in database extensions to the correct version for the database server. This task creates sub-tasks for individual databases, as necessary. It's a startup task so it only runs everytime the instance is started and not daily, you can verify from sysadmin ph_task & ph_run tables.
