Hello, my friends.
Informix 11.70.FC3 on a linux_64 machine (redhat based).
I´m trying to test the USERMAPPING feature, with the BASIC option.
As said by Information Center, my release doesn´t need to have PAM
authentication to do this (after 11.70.xC1 I read).
Ok, so I did the steps below:
1) I changed my USERMAPPING=BASIC
2) I´ve created my /etc/informix/allowed.surrogates file, as follows:
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 44 Sep 5 09:25 /etc/informix/allowed.surrogates
it´s contents:
USERS:local_user,1404
GROUPS:grupo1,101
3) onmode -cache surrogates ran, as online.log says:
09:37:57 Entries in the surrogates file /etc/informix/allowed.surrogates are
loaded into surrogate cache.
4) I´ve created my windows user "Amarini":
grant access to "Amarini" properties UID 1404, GROUP (grupo1)
But when I try to connect using my dbaccess, online.log says:
09:38:19 listener-thread: err = -951: oserr = 0: errstr =
Amarini@my_machine.domain[MY_MACHINE.DOMAIN]: Incorrect password or user
Amarini@my_machine.domain[MY_MACHINE.DOMAIN] is not known on the database
server.
(I´ve even added the following line to my /etc/hosts.equiv file)
my_machine.domain
But the same error appears.
Am I missing something? Is there any other "cake receipt" to do this?
Regards!
