Yes, I have a customer on 6.00.UE4 - no cursor_name() } function. Of course I develop under 6.02.UC1 so a quick check of } the customers release notes and a hasty rewrite was called for! Absolutely correct; 4.13/6.01 has CURSOR_NAME(). Version 6.00 has cursor name mangling but not CURSOR_NAME() function; version 4.12 doesn't have CURSOR_NAME() either, though it isn't hard to write a dummy version: -- Dummy CURSOR_NAME function usable with I4GL 4.12 and earlier! In a mild fit of insanity, I once contemplated taking over the FAQ, but I'm very glad that someone else has done so instead. All else apart, I think it needs a someone who isn't an Informix employee doing it to ensure that it isn't seen as biassed. Yours, Jonathan Leffler (johnl@informix.com) #include <witticism.h>
