Mirroring and archives

We use Informix Online 7.22 on AIX. All of our chunks are mirrored (approx. 17Gb) and we perform a zero level ontape archive each week and level 1 archives daily. If there is a problem with the database and we need to restore from tape, can we restore to a machine without mirroring. Does the archive backup the mirrors? If so, is it possible to only backup the primary chunks? Thanks, Paul N. Daly
