You did not change the ALARMPROGRAM entry in the ONCONFIG file. It is pointing to the default value, log_full.sh, which tries to use onbar to archive logical logs as they fill. If you do not have onbar configured you will get this spurious 142 error in the MSG log every time a logical log fills. Probably before after the upgrade you reinstalled IDS and that overwrote the log_full.sh you were using with the default one, or you were unfortunately using the default onconfig file, onconfig.std, which would have also been overwritten by the reinstall.
