Hello! I use Informix 4gl version 7.30 / Linux 2.2.16. INPUT ARRAY: "SCROLL ... UP/DOWN BY ..." doesn't work! Could someone help me? Thanks!
More explanation than "doesn't work" would be useful along with the source code. First I have to say that "SCROLL ... UP/DOWN BY ..." worked with the former Informix4gl-Version 4.1. Now (Version 7.30) the current line doesn't move?! Here is an example: INPUT ARRAY da_v0011 WITHOUT DEFAULTS FROM scr_v0011.* ... ON KEY (F5) LET pi_scroll = ARR_COUNT() - ARR_CURR() SCROLL scr_v0011.* UP BY pi_scroll LET pi_arr = ARR_CURR() LET pi_scr = SCR_LINE() DISPLAY da_v0011[pi_arr].* TO scr_v0011[pi_scr].* ... It would be wonderful to control the current line. But AFAIK it's always done a transient job, and as soon as the INPUT statement goes back to a waiting state (waiting for keyboard input) it reasserts it's positioning and you've wasted your time with the SCROLL. I thought SCROLL was only useful if you are manually managing your own screen array. Perhaps I tested on a defective version? If SCROLL can be used usefully in INPUT ARRAY, I'd like to know about it; 5 years ago please! Version 7.3 now does what I wanted SCROLL to do.
