Dear Adam,
Basically no. The restore must be done to the same chunk file names as
was recorded with the archive. Because production and dev are on the
same machine then in those instances the chunks must have different
names.
If dev was on a different box then maybe this could be done.
Your best bet is to use onunload or dbexport, but both these require
exclusive access to the production database. Assuming both dev and
production are the same verison of online then I think onunload is the
best method.
