The Unix server, or from PCs? When they connect, are they specifying user name and password? But the user then does end up connecting successfully to the database. > > Any thoughts on where I might look for causes? Look at whether you have some networked password authentication service in place. Are you on HP-UX? I'm a little worried about that 'the user then does end up connecting successfully' information; if you get an error like that, you should not be connecting. -- Jonathan Leffler #include <disclaimer.h> Email: jleffler@earthlink.net, jleffler@us.ibm.com Guardian of DBD::Informix v2005.02 -- http://dbi.perl.org/ sending to informix-list
