I encapsulate the whole thing in a shell file, as:
dbaccess datos <<EOF
select * from table001 where campo1 = "$1" and campo2 between"$2"
and "$2"
EOF
Make the file (say, file001.sh) executable and then you can do:
file001.sh xxxx yyy zzz
