What OS are you running IDS on?
If it is NT, how many users are in the Domain user table?
When sitting on the database server, how long does a "dbaccess databasename"
take?
Do you have a network issue causing a timeout between the application
machine or database machine? - (telnet from application onto the database
server?

NT 4 with SP4

About 7.

Barely noticable. Roughly 5 seconds on a 100% load server (just tried).

Not that I have noticed. We're of course using pcAnywhere to connect to it,
but not that I know of, no.
