Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

I had the opportunity to compare the performances between Informix SE 5
running on SCO 5.0.2 (Ppro-200, 64 Mb; 1 HD U/W SCSI-2 9Gb) and HP Netserver
with SCO 5.0.5, IDS 7.30 (bi-Xeon 400Mhz, 512 Mb, 2 HD U/W SCSI-? 9Gb each
and HD controller with 16 Mb cache). The 2 drives are mirrored (RAID 1).
I run the same app (payroll) and found this poor old Ppro is just 38% slower
than the brand new HP.
Even more deceiving me is the fact that other users were logged on whi
command use
tNews NNRP server INN 1.7.2 08-Dec-1997 ready (posting ok).
