Most ODBC drivers use Informix NET to act as a server on the UNIX box, this can be expensive unless you're talking 20+ users. A product you can try is Visionware's SQL Retriever. This comes in two parts, the ODBC driver (with "Free" Novell TCP/IP and extras) and an rpc daemon that resides on the UNIX box. You need just one copy of the UNIX end and however many user licences so it will allow you to try out any ODBC compliant windows development or query tool with a modest initial outlay. email: sales@visionware.com (US) sales@visionware.co.uk (UK) -- Mags
