Informix Call-Level Interface

Fellow Informix Programmers: Is there a list somewhere of anything approaching a call-level interface for Informix? Oracle provides OCI (Oracle Call Interface). Sybase provides DBLib and Client Library call-level interfaces. Some of the work we are doing here would be much more straightforward if there were a call-level interface for Informix. If such a beast is not available, does someone have a list of the meanings of the internal function calls generated by the ESQL/C precompiler? Please send me any information you might have. I would be glad to package up that information and make it available to others on the 'net.
