Suggestion: When you restore the copy over on the second machine, just do a
"physical" restore, and then start up HDR from the first server to the
second. As long as you can live with the second server being in read-only
mode, this will keep your second server constantly up-to-date with log
records from the primary server.

Yes, provided you have the production ixbar in place on the test server, and
you have the OB2BAR ... env variables set appropriately.
I've never tried it though.
