Dear All, I was restoring an ontape backup of 7.31 ver and got the following errors. 1) In online.log file Aborting physical restore of ROOT DBSpace Aborted by client. Informix Dynamic Server Stopped. 2) On the Console: physical restore failed – function archive backup failed code –2 errno I did oncheck -pr and got this Validating Informix Dynamic Server reserved pages I/O open() chunk 1, pagenum 0, pagecnt 12 --> errno = 13 pls help me Regards, James Nnaji

Before restore, It always makes sense to try initialize Informix with 'oninit -i' using the same ONCONFIG that You intend for restore. Error 13 means 'permission denied'.
