me is like trusting Informix to always support ROWID. I've never seen any
documentation that guarantees the tabid values of the system table (never
even seen any that guarantees they stay below 99), so if I can avoid it
I'll not trust it.
A systable named "systable" is documented.
My reasons may be loopy, but I always have one ...

For Informix Databeses replace
select unique current
by
select distinct current
----For SE Databeases instead of OnLine
you can use just any existing database and table,
you may create it before and drop it then
or you may user stores7.
