Return code of 468 from isql

Hello, I am currently using Informix/SE 5.01 on linux. And I get an error 468 when I try and run isql as a normal user. When I run this as root it works. There must be some permission problem somewhere. My passwd file is readable by everyone. I have even used trace(and ibcs2 tool) and informix is reading the passwd file and geting my uid. Any help would be appreciated. BTW. If I run the same version of informix on a different Linux system it works ok. I just changed the operating system on this box and now I get this error.
