Assuming you have Informix >=4.00 release, then dbexport <your-database-name> will create a subdirectory calles <dbname>.exp and write the complete SQL script necessary to recreate the schema and dumps all the data to ASCII files. Works great. dbimport rebuilds the database. Peter Wiley
