I-Net problem

Hi,
I am having a problem getting my Informix-Net (I-Net) to work
and I was wondering if anyone has come across this problem and solved
it!
First, some background. I have installed I-Net 4.00.UH1 on 2
Pyramid MIServer4's running the Informix SE engine 4.00 UD2. The OS
on the Pyramids is OSx5.1a. The server hostname is
crdec7.apgea.army.mil and the client is crdec8.apgea.army.mil.
Sqlexecd is running on both hosts. The proper entries are present in
/etc/services and /etc/hosts. i.e.:
sqlexec 1525/tcp
and
192.12.125.80 crdec8.apgea.army.mil crdec8
Now, the problem. When I try to select a database on the remote
host (server) I get the error:
-956: Client is not in the file /etc/hosts.equiv on remote host.
Well, of course crdec8 (and crdec7) are in /etc/hosts.equiv
on both hosts. (All other networking works just fine). This error
occurs whether I am trying to select a database on an NFS partition
or a non-NFS partition. It also occurs whether crdec7 is the server or
whether crdec8 is the server.
Informix Tech Support has been working on the problem, but
has not found a solution yet. Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions?
Thanks,
Mary
