After running archive level 0 back up i have received following message ontape -s -L 0 Please mount tape 1 on /dev/rmt/0b and press Return to continue ... 10 percent done. 20 percent done. 30 percent done. 40 percent done. Archive failed - function write to tape failed code -1 errno 5 Can somebody help on the subject. I have INFORMX on line 7.13 UC1 Thanks

Error 5 on HPUX is an I/O error. More than likely, a bad tape or a bad tape drive. I'd recommend that you clean the drive first and restart the archive. That may take care of your problem.
