Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

I'm in the process of bringing up a new Informix system here for a
custom client-server system. I'm faced with the choice of ESQL/C or
ODBC for connectivity to the clients. I'd prefer ESQL/C over ODBC,
but Informix does not support the Microsoft Visual C++ 5.x compiler.
Had anyone gotten it to work with MSVC 5? Has anyone used
Informix-CLI? And, in general, what are the pitfalls of each?
