Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
User sought a way to identify CDC-enabled tables without using oncheck -pT (which locks tables). Initial suggestions included dmgetsubscriptionstatus and onstat -g cdc. However, onstat only works when the CDC adapter is running. Andreas Legner suggested querying the sysptnhdr SMI table for flag 0x04000000 (67108864) to identify tables in FULLROWLOGGING mode, which resolved the user's need.

Hi iiug,
Just want to ask how to find the cdc enabled tables? can't use the oncheck
-pT, it uses locks which affects the application.
Is there any table how to check which table is in Full Row logging and Snooped?
IDC 11.7/12.10
Thanks,
R

You have not mentioned platform, but if it is a *nix variant then call
'dmgetsubscriptionstatus -I "CDC_Server" -A' (found in the CDC bin
directory) to list the subscriptions and their status.
The actual tables involved in a subscription are best seen from the CDC
Management Console (usually on a WinDoze Server).
To/From what are you replicating as I have not found many people using CDC
with Informix ?

How about onstat -g cdc [<sessid>] table [<full-table-name>] [long]
Print Change Data Capture captured table information. Use
dbname:owner.tabname format for <full-table-name> parameter.
Omit <full-table-name> parameter to display information=20
about
all captured tables.
Or syscdcv1:syscdctabs ? S.a. $INFORMIXDIR/etc/syscdcv1.sql

Andreas

Hi All,
I'm using "onstat -g cdc" table already but if the cdc adapter is not running,
you will not be able to see those tables which are in "Snopping mode". We have
thousand of tables and i'm looking for a column/flag that identifies the table
is being snooped.
IDS 11.7/12.0 on AIX P7.
Thanks,
Ronaldo
Before further diving into this, what about syscdcv1:syscdctabs ?
Would this also only be populated while really being snooped? Would it be=20
populated at all?
In case the FULLROWLOGGING attribute would be sufficient for you, you=20
could query sysptnhdr SMI table for flags 0x04000000 (67108864).
