Can PowerBuilder run remote shell commands?

Hello, We are thinking of using PowerBuilder as an end user tool for Informix 5.01 on-line server. We have some users also want to run shell scripts in the Unix server side with same tool. Is it possibly to provide this kind of functionality with the PowerBuilder or with some external application developed with Visual Basic (or some other tool) and integrated into PowerBuilder. I am wondering if there is any other tool in the market that provides the features of PowerBuilder and running remote command fecility. Please let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks in advance.
