Hello!
I'm trying to reach UNIX box (maho) with IDS on it
from NT box.
My settings:
NETTYPE onsoctcp
DBSERVERNAME ol_server
in sqlhosts:
ol_server onsoctcp maho onexec
in services:
onexec 1526/tcp
What should I set with setnet32 utility on my NT box?
I set 'host' as UNIX machine and service onexec, is it right?
Anyway, I get the -908 error, and don't know how to deal with it
TIA!

You have to go into the hosts and services files on the PC and add the
hostname and address and the service and its port number. These are
under the WinNT system32 directory (usually C:winnt) in:
\\winnt\\system32\\drivers\\etc
Alternatively you could put the IP address and port number into setnet32
but that is tedious and error prone.
