Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
We are currently running IDS 9.3/IDS 9.4 on Solaris 8 with pleasurable
stability. We are considering moving to Linux for cost savings. IBM support
tells me that IDS is supported on Linux 2.4, glibc 2.2.x. Would someone care
to comment on the relative stability of IDS on Solaris vs. Linux? Should we
go for Redhat Linux (7.3, 9, enterprise) or some other Linux? Thanks! Rajesh
