All current Informix products are available today on Solaris 2.3. Informix Development makes the move to Solaris 2.3 -------------------------------------------------- The entire commercial development team at Informix will running on Solaris 2.3 by end of month July. Solaris 2.3 will be the core development environment on Sun for INFORMIX OnLine 7.01. Informix Worldwide Users Conference ----------------------------------- Informix Worldwide Users Conference will be held in Tampa Florida on July 11 - 14. The attendees are users, OEMs, VARs, MIS Directors and Executives from customers worldwide. Last year Informix had 2,500 attendees, and they anticipate an equal to or better than attendance for this year. At the show, which will be held June 21-23 in New York, Fidelity Investment and Image Architects will be demonstrating an application written specifically for Fidelity using Recognition's OpenDOX product on top of INFORMIX-OnLine. If you are in the area, stop by and see it! This will be the first of several events that we have planned with Informix, Recognition and Sun to raise the awareness of document imaging and generate more business for Sun in this growing industry. Sun and Informix Joint Development and Performance Lab ------------------------------------------------------ The two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding to do performance tuning and development, as well as benchmarking of future releases of INFORMIX-OnLine. Both companies will contribute resources to the lab such as personnel, hardware and early software releases.
