At a client's site, I had problems with too many extents. (Like 50+) When the engine crashed, data was lost. Like Informix could not find the extent. What we did was unload the table and reloaded and increased the NEXT EXTENT I think, if I remember correctly that informix recommends that you have less than 8 extents? (Anyone with the manual know for sure?) Hope this Helps. -Mikey
