It doesn't give any error, it just won't do anything. OK - well that is a different and more serious issue. Contact IBM/Informix Tech Support. If you don't have support, you've got some problems. You've not given the detailed version number for the version of Linux (you said Redhat, but that covers quite a lot of versions), and you've not given any version information for Informix-SQL at all (nor for the database server you're using, though that is probably the least of our problems). Does standard Perform work on the screen form when the function call is commented out? Does the custom Perform work on the screen form when the function call is commented out? Can you tell whether the function is being called? Have you tried any diagnostic tracing in the function? What does the function try to do? Is it messing with the screen or just doing simple calculations? Is it using ESQL/C? -- Jonathan Leffler #include <disclaimer.h> Email: jleffler@earthlink.net, jleffler@us.ibm.com Guardian of DBD::Informix v2007.0226 -- http://dbi.perl.org/
