However, in versions before 7.24, which has the DBCENTURY environment variable to control how to expand 2 digit date strings on input, any date string inserted into a date type column which did not contain a century the century was assumed to be 19. This means that "01/01/01" would be inserted as January 1, 1901. So yes the database is but your apps will have to insert 4digit years for the data to be interpreted correctly. Versions beginning with 7.24 support DBCENTURY. Art S. Kagel
