If you do this, just remember that the http server clears the environment before forking/execing your cgi program. Because of this, the first thing you must do is to set the INFORMIX dependant environment variables such as INFORMIXDIR, LD_LIBRARY_PATH, etc. After setting the environment variables, connect and do whatever DB stuff you want to do. Remember, anything sent to stdout get's sent back to the browser. If you don't set the environment variables, you will experience core dumps - yes not very pretty. Hope this helps.
