Urgent ! Please Help !

Hi ! I hope someone can help me out with a configuration issue related to Informix-CLI on a UNIX platform. I followed the instructions in the CLI programmers manual to configure CLI on UNIX. But I cannot get a connection to the data source. I am running a sample application that uses SQLAllocEnv () to get a environment handle - it works. SQLAllocConnect () to get a connection handle - it works SQLConnect (connection_handle, data_source_name, userid, password) THIS FAILS. !! my INFORMIXDIR is set to /work/informix here I have a file called .odbc.ini - which has the Data Source Name defined in it. There is also an odbcinst.ini file. I believe the entries for the DSN in these files are correct. I checked the ODBC driver it is available in the odbc/lib directory & is called libifmx07.sl From what I could diagnose, when I run my application it doesn't seem to access the .odbc.ini file. This I checked usinf ls -lua command which lists the access time for the file. So what am I missing ??????!!!! Thanks Chaminda Peries Dynasty Technologies Inc. Houston, TX
