Affairs Lou: I have discovered three reasons for using termcap over terminfo: 1) Color seems to be easier to implement. 2) the DOS/windows emulation packages I use seem to work better under termcap 3) I have actually had to get terminals to work. I know that's pretty much a dead technology still with us. ed schaefer
