Beginner Informix Question

I have inherited a Unix based Informix DataBase Server Version 4.10. I know it's really old but that's life. There is a nightly process that runs against the database which almost ramdomly produces a -408 error (Problem with library file communicating with the database.) I running Unix V.4 on an old NCR 3450 with 2 processors (Intel 90Mhz). I know this is not enough information, but I honestly don't know the revelant information to provide. Does this error sound familiar to anyone? tks kalamos@msn.com
