ISQL 6.X --> SE 5.X

Hi all, is it possible, to connect from a version-6-frontend to a version-5-SE ?? I have no problems to connect from ISQL 6.x to SE 7.20 on another Computer. It's also no problem to connect from ISQL 4.x to the combination SE 5.x / Informix-Net 5.x. But when I try to connect from ISQL 6.x to SE 5.x/NET 5.x I always get the ERROR 952 : Users Password is not correct for the database server I think, all files (/etc/services,...sqlhosts,/etc/hosts.equiv) are configured correctly. Is it supported, to connect from ISQL 6.x to SE/NET 5.x via network? And when, what's the right configuration, or how it is possible? Many thanks Ruediger Papke
