RE: Maintenance prices DOUBLED?
Posted in 2003
The Workgroup edition was originally for small customer sites and ran also on NT. It includes pretty much all the features of Enterprise but the marketing behind it is different and so is the price tag. I don't know of any limitations within the product since I used both and could run the same instance with the same amount of users on each. I believe it is more a marketing thing for smaller customer sites. I don't know how Informix used to check on its usage. Hoping this helps!
