Can I Move a Fragment?

Good Morning people, Is it possible to detach a fragment from a fragmented table and reattach it to another dbspace? IDS 11.50.FC5 on AIX 5.3. thanx, dan
You dont have to detach it, just ALTER it:
ALTER FRAGMENT ON TABLE <mytable> INIT FRAGMENT BY ....
and give the new fragmentation scheme. The engine will move all fragments
to satisfy the new scheme, not just the changed ones. IB you can just move
one, but I don't remember the syntax. Note that you will need enough
logical log space to log the changed pages and enough free space on the new
dbspace (it can be the same one it's already in BTW which is like a reorg)
to hold the new partition.
