Hi,
I am trying to create andrun a HPL job to unload data. But i got syntax error.
Here it is how i am doing it:
BEGIN OBJECT DEVICEARRAY job1
BEGIN SEQUENCE
TYPE FILE
FILE /export/home/informix/temp/qry2.unl
TAPEBLOCKSIZE 0
TAPEDEVICESIZE 0
PIPECOMMAND
END SEQUENCE
END OBJECT
-- job.obj
BEGIN OBJECT FASTUNLOADJOB job_1
PROJECT <default>
DEVICE job1
DATABASE hrm
QUERY "select * from inquries order by inq_date DESC, inq_time DESC, inq_no
DESC"
SERVER ids_primary
END OBJECT
onpladm create job -F job.obj
-- output
Syntax error in interface file line :4
Create object FASTUNLOADJOB failed!
Hi there,
I think that you should perhaps go back to the manual and do a bit more
research. Using the High performance loader can be a bit tricky to get working
in the beginning, but is a very useful tool when you do get it running
The Query clause in the specification file refers to a query object that you
have previously setup. Perhaps it would be better for you to use something like
onpladm create job <job_name> -n -d job1 -D hrm -t inquries -fu
Also, the query that you have provided contains an order by clause - not sure
that I would do that
