Setting Informix Environment Variables

Hi netters, We have just upgraded to Informix 4.10 RDS from 4.00 and I am using the fgl_getenv() function to retrieve values of environment variables. This is proving to be very useful to me but there doesn't appear to be any way to set an environment variable from within Informix. Is there such a function in 4.10 - fgl_setenv() for example ??
