Using TEMP Tables

What is the overhead when in 4gl you "create TEMP table...", load it with something, then "Drop" it? Do temp tables take more overhead than a "permanent" table? Does it take longer to retrieve things from it? Any extra overhead when dropping the table? We load an average of a couple hundred rows or less. The size of the row is 2 char columns, total row size is 50. We are on SCO Unix online 5.01. Steve Goldberg Landata RE-Source goldberg@landata.com
