define_serv - CDR - Help!

Hi I finally gave up on Rep Manager and am trying my luck on the API commands. I was able to define one server but when I try to define the second one I get the error 64 which is cyclic/remote synchronization not allowed. The commands I used are define_serv g_repltest ( note with the -c option I get error 44)- This was successfull and syscdr was created The second command was define_serv rep2 -I -S g_repltest g_rep2 . I've tried various combinations of this without any success. Please help!!!! TIA Deepa
