SETNET32 Problems

Friends, I am having a problem with Informix's SETNET32. I have two servers here, a development and production server. For some applications I must connect to the development box other times I need to go to the production server. Each time I switch servers I have to manually edit the SETNET32 values. We called INFORMIX and rather than provide a dynamic solution they actually recommended that we purchase an additional PC for the client to connect to the second server. This seems ludicrous to me. Does anyone know how to dynamically change the SETNET32 values on the client so I can connect to two different servers at different times? Any help would be appreciated. I thank you in advance.
