ODBC and performance

Hi all, I just activated ODBC with a customer. Everything works fine but he reclaimes that his machine is much slower. Is there something that I can check or tune. His configuration: SuSe 8.0 IDS 7.30.UC5 Thanks for any tips. Regards, Danny
