4gl's and dbaccess remotely?

Hello All, Currently I am running Informix, web server, and apps on one machine. Just puchased a new Sun machine, and would like to make it a database server only. I am running Informix 5.0 currently, but will be upgraded ASAP. The apps consist of lots of 4gl's and ksh scripts using dbaccess. What Informix product do I need to start looking for, and where can I find out more info about it. Also, what method does Informix use to transfer data across machines, TCP/IP? Olaf bjv@wsex.com
